Funeral services will be held beginning Sunday evening for legendary Louisiana chef Paul Prudhomme, who died Thursday.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St. New Orleans, La.
Friends, family and fellow chefs are expected to attend to pay tribute to Prudhomme, whose death at age 75 made international headlines.
Visitation will continue Monday morning at 9 a.m. at historic St. Louis Cathedral in the French Quarter.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., according to the funeral home. Funeral director Kevin Hasson said that many of Prudhomme’s colleagues from the food and restaurant world are expected, and there may be plans for a special tribute after the Mass, involving Prudhomme’s iconic restaurant, K-Paul’s Louisiana Kitchen, on Chartres Street.
