Detectives have arrested the man who allegedly shot a convenience store clerk last week, according to the Lafayette Police Department.
Cpl. Paul Mouton says Cannon Williams, 20, of Lafayette, has been charged with Attempted First Degree Murder.
Investigators believe Williams shot the store clerk three times during an armed robbery at the Stop & Buy in the 900 block of Carmel Drive.
The incident happened around 8:35 p.m. on October 22, 2015. The clerk was rushed to a local hospital.
Cpl. Mouton says police are still investigating the case.
