Boil advisory issued for parts of Leonville

The following is a release from the Town of Leonville:

Leonville Town Manager Bobby Degueyter announces due to a break in a main water line, as a precautionary measure a boil order is in effect until further notice. This boil order is primarily important to people with weakened immune systems, the very young, and elderly. Only the following areas are included in the boil order.

  • Ovey Benoit Road
  • Sir Thomas Drive
  • Fort Hamilton Subdivision
  • Lynwood Extension
  • Meadow Run Subdivision
  • Ranch Road
  • Rainbow Drive

The town crews have repaired the break and are turning on the water to the affected areas. They are flushing and increasing chlorine residual in the water and will be sampling and sending to lab for quality assurance.

Notification of cancellation of boil order will be provided through local news agencies once water quality is confirmed.
