Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s deputies are looking for two suspects who stole several items from unlocked vehicles on Cupcake Road near Erath.

Sheriff Mike Couvillon said the suspects stole purses, wallets, and electronics.

The suspects then used a stolen credit card to buy gas from Dore’s Corner Store in New Iberia for two vehicles, according to the sheriff.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying the two suspects.

The first suspect is described as “a heavy set white male,” and was driving an older model (possibly 2003-2007) Honda Accord with damage to the back driver’s side window and a burnt passenger side headlight.

Investigators say the Honda also has a green, no insurance sticker on the back windshield.

The second suspect was last seen wearing what appears to be a hooded sweatshirt or jacket. Investigators believe the suspect drove a (possible 2007-2011 model) Toyota Camry.

Anyone with any information about the suspects in the photographs is asked to call the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 337-898-4403.
