Authorities with Lafayette Metro Narcotics have obtained an arrest warrant for a Lafayette woman accused of second-degree murder in connection to a January overdosing death.

Capt. Dwayne Prejean with Metro Narcotics said Danielle Fromenthal, originally from Morgan City, supplied the victim with heroin. Police have reason to believe Fromenthal was at the scene of the death either before or immediately after the overdose.

Fromenthal has open warrants to include possession with intent to distribute heroin and obstruction of justice stemming from the overdose.  Prejean said Fromenthal is aware she is wanted and has evaded arrest since March, when she evaded police after she was rushed to a hospital after she overdosed.

Prejean said it’s possible she’s in Lafayette or Morgan City, where her family currently resides.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Ms. Fromenthal is urged to contact the Lafayette Metro Narcotics Task Force (337-291-5550) or Lafayette Crime.
