His work as a geologist led him to Acadiana, but with the oil industry at a standstill, her husband lost his job. “I have a husband that is willing to work everything, and for the last month he’s been watering trees, so as grateful we are for the rain. I was grateful it didn’t rain too, because that kept him in a job temporarily. So he’s willing to dig ditches, and he has just to keep food on the table and roof over our head.”
Michelle had to go back to work to support the family while her husband looks for a new job. Between homeschooling her kids, work, football and cheerleading, it’s been a rough year for the family.
