UPDATE From Lafayette Police Department (December 9, 2015):
Lafayette Police arrested Justin Cross without incident in Lafayette on Tuesday, December 8, 2015.
Cross was transported to the Lafayette Police Department where he was questioned.
He was later booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center. The investigation remains ongoing.
ORIGINAL (December 7, 2015):
Lafayette Police officers have arrested one of the suspected shooters that opened fire on a home Monday morning.
The second suspected shooter, Justin Cross, 31, of Lafayette, is currently on the run, according to the Lafayette Police Department.
Corporal Paul Mouton said detectives have an arrest warrant for Cross on the charge of attempted first-degree murder.
The first suspected shooter, Joseph Charles Jr., 30, of Lafayette, turned himself into police around 7 p.m. Monday night.
Charles has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, according to Mouton.
Investigators believe both Charles and Cros fired multiple shots into a home in the 100 block of Rue Royale with an assault rifle and shotgun.
A woman who was inside the home at the time was shot in the right arm and treated at a local hospital. A man who was also inside the house at the time was not injured.
