Deputies need help finding 10 stolen puppies

The following is a release from the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office:

Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 10 American Bully Pit puppies that were taken from the 1000 block of West Plaquemine in Church Point.

According to Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon his office received a complaint on December 7th regarding the theft of the puppies from a kennel located in the rear of the residence.

Investigators advised that the puppies were possibly taken between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

The puppies are three weeks old so their return is important for their survival.   They are described as being chocolate in color.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Tyler Broussard at 788-8720.  A $1,000 reward is being offered for their safe return.
