SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Twitter is warning some of its users that their personal accounts could have been compromised in a hack attack.

Most Twitter posts are public, but the company said the hackers could have been trying to gain access to personal accounts, the users’ phone numbers, email addresses, and IP addresses.

Twitter said only a few users were targeted by the hackers, and they sent a warning email to those specific users on Monday.
