Two arrested, two at large after armed robbery in Breaux Bridge

Authorities have arrested two of the four suspects that robbed two people at gunpoint during a home invasion, according to the Breaux Bridge Police Department.

Chief Investigator Lt. Darren A. Benoit said one of the victims received minor injured during the incident.

The robbery happened Tuesday morning at a home in the 100 block of East Brant Street.

Police have arrested Albert Mitchell Alexander, 26, of Breaux Bridge, and Christopher Damond Brown, 20, of Orange, TX in connection with the armed robbery.

Assistant Cheif Terry Latiolais told KLFY investigators are still looking for the two other black male suspects.

Both Alexander and Brown were arrested and charged with:

  • Unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling
  • Aggravated assault with a firearm (2 counts)
  • Aggravated second degree battery
  • Theft
  • Armed Robbery (2 counts)
  • Home invasion
  • Illegal possession of stolen firearms
