There have been a lot of questions surrounding the possible new high school and road repair in Youngsville. Today the Mayor has answered back with a ten-year master plan.
Residents were given cliff notes of the plan and were asked to fill out a questionnaire.
Youngsville Mayor Ken Ritter says that the ten-year plan is a 550-page book that took his team ten months to create.
“It really helped me solidify my belief that we’ve got to hit the ground running this year, in the first year of our administration by having a master plan.” Said Mayor Ritter.
The plan revolves around five categories; drainage, sewage, roads, water, and facilities.
The engineering team plans to fund the project through various grants and programs and $50-million in projected capital outlay projects.
The results of a citywide survey were announced and over half the city’s population is unsatisfied with the condition of the city’s streets.
The city’s population has increased 350% since 1990.
