BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Western New Yorkers are doing their part to help those affected by the water crisis in Flint, Michigan.

Working with the True Bethel Baptist Church, WNY residents donated more than 100,000 bottles, that arrived on Friday, and another 100,000 will arrive next week.

It took a team effort to get so many bottles of water to those in need, and Pastor Dareus Pridgen says he worked with Robert Rich, with Roar Logistics, who helped secure trucks to transport the water.

Pridgen said the response was overwhelming, noting they did not expect to be able to collect so many bottles of water.
