Authorities are still looking for seven suspected members of the Gremlin Street Gang.

They face charges in Four Acadiana Parishes

  1. Lafayette
  2. St. Martin
  3. Vermilion
  4. Acadia

The charges include murder, drive-by shootings, drug dealing and witness intimidation.

The gang which originated in Abbeville has been under investigation for over a year.

A Vermillion Parish Grand Jury handed down indictments in December for 17 members, police have arrested 10 but are still searching for the others.

Master Trooper Brooks David tells KLFY’s Kellie Brown that two of the wanted men were last spotted in St. Landry Parish during the Mardi Gras holiday.

“You can obviously tell that they don’t really care about what they’re doing they are just terrorizing people within the parishes and we want to get those people off of the street as fast as we can, Acadia. Marshall’s office here in Lafayette.”

David says the investigation is still ongoing and there are developments every day.

“We still are uncovering things as we go and every day that goes by when we uncover things they could bring up further charges.”

David added that they will continue to work with law enforcement from all of the parishes to bring these criminals to justice.
