A Eunice man was put behind bars for allegedly battering his girlfriend with a hot pizza, police said.
During a domestic dispute this week, Shane Daigle allegedly threw the scorching pizza at Sally Ann Newton, after they argued.
According to Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot, his officers were called to the scene where the victim claimed the airborne pizza hit her in the face.
Officers noted she did have what appeared to be pizza sauce on parts of her body.
Both Daigle and Newton were arrested and charged with simple battery, domestic. Police said Daigle appeared to have recent scratch marks on his face and neck. Both have since bonded out of jail.
