Opelousas PD take fugitive with warrents for twenty-six counts of theft of a firearm into custody

OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY)—Fugitive with outstanding warrants including simple burglary and twenty-six counts of theft of a firearm has been taken into custody.

Authorities tell KLFY News 10 that the Opelousas City Police along with the Opelousas city Marshall’s Office, and St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Department located Ricki James Armand in Opelousas at 410 W. Tennis St. Apt. #5.

Armand was wanted for an outstanding warrant for the St. Martin Parish Sheriff Dept. for one count of simple burglary and twenty-six counts of theft of a firearm.

Officers with the Opelousas PD secured a warrant for the address on Tennis St. where they believe Armand to be. When officers served the warrant they found Armand inside.

According to authorities, Armand was taken into custody without incident.
