CROWLEY, La. (KLFY) – An Acadia Parish man is now in jail for alleged crimes against minors.
Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon said in a news release that John Neel Huckman, Jr., 34, was arrested Thursday after the US Marshal’s Office requested assistance from the sheriff’s office.
“Deputies accompanied US Marshals to a location off of Branch Highway, near the Higginbotham area, where Huckman was taken into custody without incident,” Melancon explained.
Huckman was booked into the parish jail on two counts of computer-aided solicitation of a minor, two counts of cyberstalking and two counts of indecent behavior with juveniles.
Melancon said Huckman will be transferred to authorities in Point Coupee Parish.
