NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) – Iberia Parish’s new president is hosting a public forum Saturday to open communication between citizens, business owners and the parish government.
President M. Larry Richard, who was elected in November 2015, said he has long wanted to give residents, “the opportunity to learn more about the current status of Iberia Parish and have their voices heard.”
A spokesperson for Richard added:
“Over the years, there have been many complaints from the community that their voices were not being heard. This event gives people the opportunity to voice their concerns, have their voices heard, learn about the goals and projects of Iberia Parish, and open communication.”
The event is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. on May 7, 2016 at Emerald Billiards, 2511 West Old Spanish Trail in New Iberia.
