St. Martinville man arrested after allegedly manufacturing counterfeit methamphetamine

MARTINVILLE, La. (KLFY)— Man arrested for allegedly manufacturing counterfeit methamphetamine.

In the morning hours of May 6, 2016, St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s deputies tell KLFY News 10, that they executed a search warrant at a property located in the 1100 block of Papit Guidry Road in St. Martinville.

Authorities recovered while searching a significant amount of what they describe as a crystal substance created to mimic methamphetamine along with Anabolic steroids and marijuana.

Chase Richard, 30, of St. Martinville was arrested on the following charges.

  • Possession with intent to distribute a counterfeit CDS classified in schedule II.
  • Possession of schedule I CDS (Marijuana).
  • Possession of schedule III CDS (Anabolic Steroids).

Richard was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center following this arrest.
