State budget crisis leaves future of Hodges Garden State Park in limbo

FLORIEN, La. (KLFY) – State Senator Gerald Boudreaux says the 12 parks facing cuts or closure fall in line with all state agencies and departments.

The parks were not fully funded and will probably have to accept cuts.

But he says it’s a long way from being over and still subject to the outcomes from the special session.

Hodges Garden in Florien, Louisiana is just one of those state parks left in limbo.
