LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – The University of Louisiana Men’s Baseball team lost 3-1 to the University of Arizona Monday night.

After losing earlier afternoon to the Wildcats, the teams faced off at 7 p.m. in a winner-take-all game.

Fans continued to support the Rajin’ Cajuns and tailgated the entire afternoon and evening. Arizona fans even joined in on a tailgate hosted by the Cajun Tails Tailgating Club.

“We scream and holler at the opposing team but once that’s done, we welcome them back to our tailgating area. That’s why we’re here. They just won, they just beat us. But we’re still hugging so it’s good,”  said UL fan Sam Landers.

“It’s just been a blast. We’re all friends on Facebook now. We’re already talking about coming to a football game,” said Arizona fan Liz Dalbec.

The Arizona Wildcats will now advance to the NCAA Super Regionals in Starkville, Mississippi.
