Duson police recover over 12 grams of crystal meth after domestic abuse call

DUSON, La. (KLFY)– Officers with the Duson Police Department recover over 12 grams of crystal meth after receiving a call for domestic abuse.

According to an official with the Duson police, the department received a call about a domestic abuse in progress on June 6, 2016.

Police tell KLFY during an interview that the victim told officers that the Clemsay Fontenette was abusing her. During the call to authorities, the victim stated that Fontenette was going to try to flee the scene with drugs.

thumbnail_IMG_2061Once officers located the suspect they say they backtracked between the residence and where the suspect was caught, recovering 12.5 grams of crystal meth a little before 3:30 p.m.

Clemsay Fontenette was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail for Domestic abuse battery by strangulation and violation of protective order.

Police say Fontenette has a pending charge of, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and has a long history of possessing and dealing narcotics.
