LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Eat Lafayette is now serving up tasty deals, so if you are in the mood for burgers and tacos, chips and queso, or even BBQ, local Lafayette restaurants have got you covered all summer long.

Monday, Eat Lafayette kicked off it’s 2016 summer campaign. The campaign features local restaurants for 12 weeks.

Each participating restaurant offers an Eat Lafayette special. Ordering this gives you a chance to win a seven day Royal Caribbean cruise.

Travel Machine administrator Kristy Smith said the campaign has grown tremendously over the years. 2 Paul’s BBQ is one of the restaurants participating. Owner Gary Roy said between the downturn in the economy and new chain restaurants opening around town, local businesses have taken a hit.

“It’s really important to support the local people. We’re not a big conglomerate. We don’t have deep pockets to keep our restaurants open when we don’t have good support.”

The idea is to encourage support for local restaurants and help customers save some dough.

“There really is no down side to it at all. You get great food and it really helps local people and their families survive,” said Roy.

Eat Lafayette will be sharing yummy deals all summer long. The campaign wraps up September 18th.
