SCOTT, La. (The Daily Advertiser) – Investigators with the Scott Police Department are searching for a woman they believe walked off with an iPad belonging to a child.

Scott Police Chief Chad Leger said on June 23, video surveillance from a store shows a black woman wearing a peach-colored shirt with blue sleeves and dark colored leggings with a flower pattern on them picking up an iPad and placing it into her purse after a child left the device unattended.

She then left the store with the iPad, and drove away in a white SUV with a sunroof that Leger said appears to be a Chrystler Pacifica.

Police are asking anyone with information on the woman to contact them at 337-889-5105 or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 337-232-TIPS.
