Scott Police looking for man they believe is connected to theft of El Camino

SCOTT, La. (KLFY)— Scott Police are looking for a man they believe is connect in the theft of a 1976 El Camino.

According to a news release, officers with the Scott Police Department were dispatched Monday around 2 p.m. to a business in the 4100 Block of Cameron St.

The caller reported a man came onto his property, left and then returned later stealing a 1976 Chevrolet El Camino. The vehicle was described as half white half maroon having a “Switched license plate mounted on the rear”.

Video surveillance was able to show a man which authorities say they believe to be connected with the theft of the vehicle.

Police describe the man as a black male, approximately 5’10” and weighing about 180 pounds. The man has braided hair and is wearing a light blue shirt, gray pants and black shoes carrying a black bag.

A spokesperson with the Scott Police said that when the suspect returned to the parking lot he was wearing a black shirt with “BULLS” written in red.
