When one hand washes the other: South Carolina Gamecocks send loaded 18 wheeler to LSU

BATON ROUGE, La. (KLFY) The University of South Carolina and the South Carolina Gamecocks sent their equipment truck to Baton Rouge Friday to aid in the ‪#‎LAFlood‬ relief.

When South Carolina experienced devastating loss and pain as a result of historic flooding there in October 2015, LSU came together to help during the recovery.

During that historic flood, LSU hosted the Gamecocks in a football game originally scheduled for Williams-Brice Stadium on Oct. 10.

All net proceeds from the game were given by LSU to South Carolina.

Also, following the game, an autographed game-worn jersey from LSU running back Leonard Fournette raised funds for South Carolina flood relief.

Now, a loss and pain all too familiar has hit Baton Rouge and the ‪#‎Gamecocks‬ are paying it forward.

A note left by team members said:

“With best wishes for a full and speedy recovery and with love from your friends at Carolina.”

And we say “THANK YOU,” GAMECOCKS!
