YOUNGSVILLE, La. (KLFY) – Governor John Bel Edwards is continuing his assessment of flood damaged areas in Louisiana today by making stops in Youngsville and Lake Arthur.
Youngsville was one of the hardest hit areas in Acadiana during last week’s historic flood.
Governor Edwards is scheduled to touch down in the area at 9:30 a.m.
He will then move on to Lake Arthur, where the town was under a mandatory evacuation last week because of the flooding.
The Governor is scheduled to land at the Lake Arthur Community Center at 10:45 a.m.
He will then visit the sandbag site near Grand Avenue and Pleasant Street.
