OPELOUSAS, La. (KFLY)— Two juveniles and one adult were arrested for the burglary of a Dollar General store, authorities said.
Sheriff Bobby Guidroz told KLFY, deputies with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office acting on several anonymous tips were able to arrest a trio for the August 23, burglary.
According to deputies, the suspects smashed the window and the front door and entered the store, stealing various items.
Two juveniles were arrested and have been transferred to a detention center. Authorities identified them as a female and male both 14-years-old
Claydeon Thomas, 17, of Opelousas, was also arrested, his bond was set at $16,000.
The three suspects are facing the charges of simple burglary and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Authorities said the charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle stems from the suspects using the juveniles’ grandparent’s vehicle during the burglary.
