Body of Lafayette man, 1 other recovered following boat crash in Missouri

SUNRISE BEACH, Mo. (AP) UPDATE: The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the bodies of two men from Louisiana have been recovered after they died in a boat crash at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Their bodies were recovered about noon Saturday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says both men drowned after a boat crash at the Lake of the Ozarks in Sunrise Beach, Missouri.

Patrolman have identified the men as 40-year-old Bradley Dunphy of Lafayette, Louisiana, and 49-year-old Richard Prince of Metaire, Louisiana.

The crash happened Friday night near Sunrise Beach when the men’s boat became airborne, rolled in the air, hit the water and flipped upside down.

The patrol says Prince was driving the boat, which was pulled from the lake late Friday.

Dive teams and sonar crews resumed a search for the men’s bodies Saturday morning.
