LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)— Two were arrested in Lafayette following an investigation which resulted in the seizure of over $100,000 in illegal narcotics, authorities said.
According to a news release, Lafayette Metro Narcotics Task Force agents with a warrant searched a residence on the 300 Block of Oaklawn Ave.
A spokesperson for the Task Force told KLFY that $124,930.00 in narcotics and $13,741.00 in U.S. Currency were seized in the investigation.
The news released stated that the seized narcotics included 561 grams of Methamphetamine ($112,200.00), 268 Roxicodone pills ($8,040.00), 338 Crisoprodal pills ($3,380.00), 97 Alprazolam pills ($970.00) and various other controlled substances such as Peroxetine, Gabapertin, Oxycodone and Steroids valued at $340.00.
Captain Dwayne Prejean told News10 that two arrests were made in connection with the investigation; Larry Lyons of Lafayette, and Bryce Hynson of Beaumont Texas.
Lyons was charged by authorities with Possession with intent to distribute Methamphetamine, Prohibited Acts – Schedules I, II, III and IV, and Monies derived from drug proceeds.
Hynson was charged by authorities with Distribution of Methamphetamine, Distribution of Scheduled drugs II and IV and Monies Derived from drug proceeds.
