BATON ROUGE, La. — Today, Gov. John Bel Edwards announced an executive order granting deadline suspensions for legal proceedings in courts, administrative agencies and boards in the 26 parishes affected by the recent flooding event across South Louisiana.
“I issued this executive order to help protect the rights of our citizens who are already experiencing a great deal of stress as they work to rebuild homes, businesses and schools in communities across South Louisiana,” said Gov. Edwards. “With so much to worry about as they work to restore some normalcy to their lives, I don’t want anyone affected by this storm to experience an unnecessary burden resulting from this tragedy.”
