BATON ROUGE, La. (KLFY) Baton Rouge Police Cpl. Montrell Jackson was killed in the line of duty on July 17, 2016 while protecting and serving the great citizens of Baton Rouge, but his legacy continues to live on in his now 7 month old son.
Jackson, a 10-year veteran of the force, died after a gunman opened fire near the intersection of Old Hammond and Airline highways in Baton Rouge. He was 32 years old.
On Saturday, family and friends of Jackson shared a Facebook post of now 7 month old Mason Jackson, dressed in jeans and suspenders, and leaning on a pillow that had been draped in his fathers uniform shirt.
