YOUNGSVILLE, La. (KLFY) UPDATE: The search for missing 6 year old Keaton Jones continues as night time falls in his Youngsville Subdivision.
Police Chief Rickey Boudreaux says authorities will began searching ponds within the community with the help of underwater sonar scanners.
He said they will also continue to walk the area with search and rescue dogs.
ORIGINAL: Youngsville Police are searching for a missing autistic 6 year old boy wearing no shirt or shoes and green tights.
Police say the child does not speak and is described as 4 feet tall, 30-40 pounds, black, brown eyes and light skin tone.
Youngsville Police, Acadian AirMed authorities and local residents on 4-wheelers are searching for the child they have identified as Keaton Jones.
According to Police Chief Ricky Boudreaux, Keaton loves water but cannot swim. Anyone who sees Keaton should contact 911.
He was last seen earlier today near his home in the Fortune Hills Subdivision.
