UPDATE: Missing Welsh child found safe

6:57 p.m. According to Welsh Police Chief Marcus Crochet the missing child has been located and is in safe custody with her parent.

WELSH, La. (KLFY)—Authorities say a child is missing is the Welsh area.

According to the Welsh Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of N. Carter St. in Welsh, Louisiana. The complainant said her boyfriend who was identified as Isaiah Pete arrived at her residence along with his grandmother, Dolores Pete and mother, Sonia Pete.

The complainant advised police that Isaiah took their daughter, one-year-old A’zayria Pete from the location.

According to police, the complainant said Isaiah made threats in regards to causing A’zayria bodily harm, before leaving.

Police said they have received information that indicates Isaiah, Dolores, and Sonia may be in or around the town of Iowa, Louisiana. Officers believe the subjects to be in a white Chevrolet car (unknown model).

  • Authorities describe A’zayria Pete as a 22-month old infant who was last seen wearing a gray shirt with pink & white polka dots along with black pants with matching polka dots, and pink crocs.
  • Authorities describe Isaiah Pete as a black 21-year-old black male who was last seen wearing a black shirt, red shorts, and black shoes.
