JENNINGS, La. (KLFY) – A mother and her boyfriend in Jefferson Davis Parish have been accused of seriously injuring her baby, according to the sheriff’s office.
Chief Deputy Christopher Ivey said detectives received a report on September 23, 2016, “that an eleven-month old infant was admitted to the hospital with a swollen head.”
Doctors told authorities that the infant had two fractures on the skull.
Investigators determined only two adults were with the infant when the injuries occurred, according to Ivey.
Warrants were issued for the baby’s mother, Angelle Mann, 30 of Jennings, and her boyfriend, Justin Brock King, 29, of Ville Platte.
Mann was arrested Monday on for second-degree cruelty to a juvenile and an outstanding warrant for worthless checks.
Detectives are looking for King, who is wanted for second-degree cruelty to a juvenile.
