Lafayette starts adult wheelchair basketball program

LAFAYETTE, La. (KFLY)—The Lafayette Recreation and Parks Department’s Therapeutic Recreation Division has started an Adult Wheelchair Basketball Program.

According to a news release, the program is free to anyone, ages 16 and older that are unable to participate in standard basketball.

The release stated that no registration is needed and practices will take place from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesdays at Heymann Recreation Center.
