LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)— For locals, Olde Tyme Grocery is a staple of the Lafayette Community, but now this poboy hot spot is gaining national attention.
If you’re looking for the best bang for your buck when it comes to dining out in Lafayette, Olde Tyme Grocery is the place to go, that’s according to TripAdvisor, one of the most respected national travel websites around. And according to Olde Tyme Grocery V.P. Ross Murphy, it’s an honor.
The website named the Lafayette restaurant as the number 1 ranked, best bargain restaurant in the country.
“We get a lot of out of town visitors that see up online and stop by.”
Olde Tyme has been known locally since 1982 for having the best poboys in town.
The restaurant has character which you see as soon as you walk in, and their poboys’ are advertised as New Orleans style, but they have their own flair to them.
According to Murphy, the New Orleans style is known for their roast beef and gravy, but Olde Tyme’s are packed with seafood.
