(The Daily Advertiser) – Lafayette Parish sheriff’s deputies have located Joshua Simon after he was “improperly released” from the parish jail earlier Wednesday.

Simon was taken back into custody without incident sometime before 3 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office.

Simon, 29, was mistakenly released just after noon Wednesday.

The sheriff’s office said Simon was being held in Lafayette for the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office on a warrant for non-payment of child support.
