LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Police have arrested a man who was wanted for questioning in connection with a Lafayette shooting and wanted for attempted second-degree murder in a Patterson shooting.

Public Information Officer Karl Ratcliff said Lafayette Police have arrested Kirt Favors but will not be charging him for Sunday’s murder of murder of 37-year-old John Paul Batiste.

Favors was wanted by Patterson Police for a shooting on Monday night. The victim in that shooting suffered non-life threatening injuries.

News 10 learned Wednesday that Favors was shot and injured at the Lafayette Boys and Girls Club back on March 22, 2016.
