BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) – LSU’s Ag Center will meet Friday to explain to potential investors how they will work with medical marijuana regulations.

Legislators relaxed state laws this year, making medical marijuana more readily available. This also allows LSU and Southern to grow and distribute the product.

LSU officials said they plan to use private money for what could be a $10 million center to grow and process marijuana on private land away from campus.
