OPELOUSAS, La (KLFY) – Residents are continuing to flock to the polls in St. Landry Parish.
The Registrar of Voter’s Office says they’ve been seeing between 700-800 people a day.
Cheryl Milburn is the Registrar of Voters for St. Landry Parish and says more than 3000 people have already voted early of the registered 63,000 voters in the parish.
“I kind of compared the last presidential election with this election and it’s almost tit for tat, so that’s good because for previous elections the turnout has not been that great,” said Milburn.
Early voting ends on Tuesday, November 1.
The presidential election will be held on Tuesday, November 8.
