Four state employees earn Comprehensive Public Training Program Professional Certificate

The following has been released by the Louisiana State Civil Service:

BATON ROUGE, La. (KLFY)– The Comprehensive Public Training Program (CPTP), administered by the Louisiana Department of State Civil Service, is pleased to recognize recipients of the CPTP Professional Certificate.

At its board meeting on October 26, 2016, the CPTP Policy Board awarded certificates to: Andrea Dixon, Department of Transportation and Development; Erah J. Ford, Louisiana Economic Development; Michelle Whipp Hanks, Department of Transportation and Development; and DeAnna Talbert, Department of Children and Family Services.

The CPTP Professional Certificate is an extensive program for individuals in professional level jobs who aspire to support their agency mission through exceptional performance. The multi-faceted program includes training in problem solving, team dynamics, change management and quality service along with other critical skills. The program is capped with a rigorous 3-day assessment where candidates are required to display mastery of the competencies and skills presented in the program.

CPTP Mission:
We exist to create and to provide quality, innovative instruction and training to state employees, and ultimately Louisiana citizens, in order to develop and retain a productive and efficient workforce and to prepare and inspire these employees to be conscientious stewards of state resources and best serve the general public.

State Civil Service Mission:
To provide human resource services and programs that enable state government to attract, develop and retain a productive and diverse workforce that excels in delivering quality services to the citizens of Louisiana.
