Lafayette Police looking for suspect who robbed store at gunpoint

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)— Lafayette Police are seeking information on an armed suspect who robbed a local store.

On November 1, at approximately 5:30 a.m. police responded to a convenience store in the 3400 block of W. Pinhook Road in reference to an armed robbery.

According to police, a black male in a hooded jacket and white plastic mask entered the store with a handgun and demanded money from the store employee.

The incident was captured on video surveillance.

The suspect made away with $75 in cash and fled the scene by foot leaving the employee unharmed.

Detectives are now attempting to identify the suspect. Anyone with information about this robbery or the masked suspect is asked to contact the Lafayette PD or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
