Mayor-President Robideaux to announce new Lafayette Police Chief Thursday afternoon

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Lafayette Mayor-President Joel Robideaux will announce Lafayette’s new police chief at a 2 p.m. news conference this afternoon.

The new chief will be replacing Jim Craft who retired in January. Craft now works for the state as Executive Director for the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement and Administration of Criminal Justice.

On Monday, Robideaux appointed Interim Police Chief Reginald Thomas to the newly created position of Deputy Chief.
