LEONVILLE, La. (KLFY)– Leonville has rescinded a boil advisory which was issued earlier, authorities said.
Officials said the Town of Leonville has restored pressure within the water supply system above the minimum required level established by the Louisiana Administrative Code – Sanitary Code.
According to a news release water samples collected by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals ‑ Office of Public Health have been negative for coliform bacteria.
The boil advisory released as a precautionary measure is now rescinded.
The town announced that the water is confirmed to be safe for consumption.
