Two accused of robbing man at gunpoint after setting up fake online ad

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Two people are accused of robbing a man at gunpoint after luring him to a Lafayette motel through a fake online classified ad.

Public Information Officer Karl Ratcliff said the two suspects robbed the victim around 10 p.m. on November 4 in the parking lot of a motel on SE Evangeline Thruway.

Police arrested Jacob Celestine, 28, and Paige Albert, 22, November 5 on the charge of armed robbery in connection with the incident.
