Scott Police arrest woman who repeatedly rammed her vehicle into another

SCOTT, La. (KLFY) – A woman in Scott was taken into custody after police responded to a report of a fight with weapons.

Officers responded to the scene on Monday in the 200 block of Paul Boudreaux Road.

Debbie Adams and the victim were found in the roadway next to their respective vehicles.

Chief Chad Leger tells News 10 a witness blocked both vehicles from exiting the dead-end street after they reportedly saw Adams chasing the victim’s vehicle and crashing into it repeatedly with her vehicle.

The victim sustained a minor injury in the incident.

Chief Leger says Adams also threatened officers and damaged a patrol vehicle while she was being arrested by kicking the window and door of the car.

Adams was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on the following charges:

  • Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property
  • Aggravated Battery
  • Reckless Operation
  • Simple Criminal Damage to Property
  • Public Intimidation/Retaliation
  • Disturbing the Peace
  • An unrelated misdemeanor warrant
