NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) – Authorities have arrested one suspect and are still looking for another suspect in connection to a November 7, 2016, shooting in New Iberia.
Captain Wendell Raborn said Bryan Dugas turned himself in today to Iberia Parish sheriff’s deputies.
Dugas was wanted on warrants for accessory after the fact to attempted second-degree murder and obstruction of justice.
An 18-year-old man was standing with a group of young men, when “two black males wearing hoodies” approached them and opened fire, according to Raborn.
The victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. The shooting happened in the 600 block of Hopkins Street.
Raborn said investigators are still looking for a second suspect, who is believed to be the shooter.
