Third suspect in Plaisance double homicide turns himself in

OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) – Authorities have arrested the third and last suspect wanted in connection with a double homicide in Plaisance that happened on September 24, 2016.

Major Eddie Thibodeaux confirmed to News 10 that 39-year-old David Miller, of Opelousas, turned himself into the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office this morning.

His attorney was present at the time. Miller was wanted on two counts of principal to first-degree murder.

Two other suspects, Destiny Jones and Jermarcus McLendon have been arrested on the same charges in the case.

Back in September, a passing motorist discovered the two bodies of 19-year-old Shawn Parish and 21-year-old Nakia Ramer Jr., both of Opelousas, on Cosay Raod in Plaisance.
