LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – University of Louisiana at Lafayette Athletic Director Scott Farmer resigned from his position at a press conference this afternoon.
Farmer had held the position for the past five years. He explained he is stepping down to take a teaching position in the university’s School of Kinesiology.
Deputy Director Jessica Leger will serve as the interim athletic director as the university searches for a new athletic director.
“We are grateful to Scott for his years of valuable service as our Director of Athletics,” University President Dr. E. Joseph Savoie said. “In his new teaching role, his real-life experiences will provide valuable lessons for our students.”
