Two Welsh residents arrested, accused of selling marijuana to undercover agents

WELSH, La. (KLFY) — Two Welsh residents were arrested after selling marijuana to undercover agents, officials said.

A spokesperson with the Jefferson Parish Sherriff’s Office said detectives working narcotics set up an undercover buy with the two suspects in a parking lot of a local store.

According to a news release, detectives arrested Eric Jackson, 22, of Welsh and Rachlyn Chasity Benoit, 21, of Welsh.

They were booked into the parish jail with no bond and charged with distribution of CDS I marijuana and possession of marijuana.

Jackson was also charged with driving under suspension.
